We take great pleasure in inviting you to the unveiling of a statue of Cyrus The Great by renowned sculptor Peter Schipperheyn at our Dar-be-Mehr on Thursday, 29th October, 5.30pm.
This auspicious day coincides with the worldwide celebrations of the anniversary of Cyrus the Great, the Achaemenid Zorastrian Emperor of Persia.
Thanks to the efforts of our stalwart members Phil Madon and Adil Sarkari, the Persian Cultural Foundation, Melbourne, have graciously agreed to donate this invaluable work of art to the AZA.
This is a historic event, and as proud Zorastrians we urge you to attend the event in large numbers. To commemorate the occasion, we have invited the Persian Cultural Foundation to honour us with their presence. As a mark of respect, it is only fair that we show them our gratitude by turning out in large numbers. The AZA is also sending out invitations to the Press and the event will receive media coverage in local newspapers.
To celebrate the event, light refreshments will be provided. Please send your RSVPs to Seema Honarmand to help with the catering for the evening
