One year has passed since the election of the 16th PZO and with the help of all committees, the PZO has carried out many beneficial activities in the past year. PZO members, while still have their personal problems and responsibilities continue to serve the Zoroastrian community in Northern California. However, the community will not progress when supported by only a few people, so let us work together to smooth the path to progress our community one of the main ways to maintain the stability of this community is to preserve traditions and hold rituals and Gahanbars; unfortunately, the Zoroastrian community in Northern California pays less attention to this concept and has not cooperated and supported enough with the PZO and its committees’ members. While PZO thanks and appreciates everyone who has so far supported us, we ask for more help holding and organizing our future events all friends and fellows who are willing to help and cooperate with us in any field, please contact us through the email address in below.
PASSAGES TO ANCIENT IRAN
Art Exhibit Open June 5th – July 2nd
You are invited to the Grand Reception Saturday, June 9th Seven years ago I worked on site in Yazd, Iran, to create a large exhibit of views from within an ancestral house that now is called “The House of the Magis”. In June 2005 the exhibit drew many viewers who
expressed feelings of being transported to the era of their personal ancestors. Although old houses there do not hold childhood memories for me, the beauty of Yazdi mud-brick architecture renews an awe and reverence I knew as a child. Whenever I visit Yazd, I fall under a spell as I walk through arched passages to feast on ever-changing shadows, rich reflected lights, rooms connected to rooms and little courtyards, and even secret rooms.
These are Passages I share.
