OUR 80th ANNIVERSARY

JUBILEE.
Our beloved Rustom Faramna
Agiary, established on Sunday 14th April 1928 (Roj Ava, Mah Adar,
YZ1298) in our Dadar Parsi Colony, is commemorating yet one more milestone in
its history, 80 grand years of its existence. We have bowed countless times in reverence before our holy fire, in
normal times as also in times that have been other than normal. Our dear Agiary has been a source of
multiplication of our happiness and division of our sorrow. It has been our
best friend at all times.
It is thus fitting that the
completion of eight decades by our citadel of faith be celebrated with pride,
dignity and of course merriment.
The 80th Anniversary celebrations of our Agiary began on the Agyari salgreh, when jashan
ceremonies were held in the morning and evening. The evening jashan was
followed by a religious discourse given by Vada Dasturji Khurshed K Dastur of Pak
Iranshah, Udvada.
A grand programme to
commemorate the Anniversary has now been scheduled to be held on Saturday, 31st October, 2009, at the Dadar Parsee Colony Gymkhana Grounds, with welcome songs
by children of the Dharmagyan class, talks by Vada Dasturji Khurshed K. Dastur of
Pak Iranshah, Udvada, Ervad Dr. Ramiyar Karanjia, Principal, Dadar Athornan
Institute, to be followed
by entertainment program performed by our colony artistes and a contributory
dinner.
A Souvenir will be released
on this occasion to garner funds for the maintenance and upkeep of our
Agiary. Hence this appeal goes out to
all who have been associated with the Dadar Parsi Colony.
We are looking forward to support from devotees,
colonites, ex-colonites settled in other parts of the country and overseas, towards
our efforts to raise funds for the maintenance and upkeep of our Agiary.Donors are requested to make out their cheques in the name of the Agiary.
May Ahura Mazda continue to
shower His choicest blessings on our community, guide and protect it for all
times to come.
