My mother Morvarid Sales – a tribute and porseh
“I wish I had wings and I could fly fly away” she told me one day her arms raised to the sky. Why? I wondered to myself, my gaze on the horizon the sun had a sharpness to it and the mud walls and and the gravel road giving it a melancholy foreground, the future seemed endless. Years passed and pages turned, the uprising, the revolution, the escape, to know the great father that is zarathushtra, to good the thoughts, to good the words, to good the deeds, to reach out for Asha. My gaze turned and I saw shadows on my feet. To keep zarathushtra’s spirit, to keep clean, to keep the the athra inside clean, and the barriers grew and grew. She gave in and the barriers crumbled leaving her in dust. I see now and I wish I had wings and I could fly fly away.
Porseh will be held Saturday April 10th 10:30-12:00 at darb-e-mehr in Vancouver.
