Iran, International Zoroastrian Jam-e-Janbakhtegan Games 1International Zoroastrian Jam-e-Janbakhtegan Tournament in Iran

The 31st International Zoroastrian Jam-e-Janbakhtegan Tournament is being organized from 25th until 29th July in Markar Sport Complex located at Tehranpars in Tehran, Iran.

Zoroastrians and Parsis from all over the world can join the JAM by participating in these tournaments or be with us as viewers.

This sports tournament, is being organized in 9 fields of basketball, volleyball, football, badminton, table tennis, chess, running, swimming and cycling in 3 categories of children, teens and adults.

Every year the JAM host 800 competitors in these 9 fields and nearly 5000 spectators.

Registration:
Interested participants and viewers residing abroad can register through our website until 20th June. In case of submission after the due date, inform us by sending an email toJamejanbakhtegan@gmail.com .
Also the facilities provided for participants coming from abroad, are mentioned in the website and the kind of required facilities should be mentioned during the registration.

More about JAM:

Mission:
Jam is being organized for the blessing of those who sacrificed themselves in the path of saving this land, the birthplace of Zaratosht. It also aims to set the Zoroastrian sport level to higher standards and also making the relation of the world Zoroastrian stronger.

Fields:
This sports tournament, is being organized in 9 fields and different age groups: one of the team fields in this tournaments is football, which is there for both ladies and gents, ladies for a single age-group and men in 3 different age levels of kids, teen and adults.
Basketball and volleyball are the other fields which happen to be there for both ladies and gents. Table tennis matches are also being organized in two age levels of teens and adults in both single and double for men and women.
Badminton matches are also there in 3 age levels for men and women.
Chess, running, swimming and cycling are the other sports of this tournament.

What we Obtained so far:
What we obtained in these 30 years by organizing the JAM, was getting closer to our mission which is making the relation of the world Zoroastrian stronger. JAM by having about 800 contestants, 5000 viewers and 150 organizers is one of the largest sport events happening among Zoroastrians.

JAM credibility:
Our main mission is to push the Zoroastrian sport level to higher standards and try and make them professionals. JAM having the sport level confirmation from National Physical Education Organization and is also permitted to present the verified championship certificate from the same organization, which is itself a big step towards our mission.

Tournaments Rules and Regulation:
In order to reach to a better sporting spirits and ethics among the youth and athletes, all the athletes participating in Jam are bound to abide by the rules and regulation of the Jam where it is uploaded in the corresponding website, which isĀ http://www.jamejanbakhtegan.kdz.ir/.
It is to be noted that the rules of each sport is in accordance with the latest international rules of that sport.

Internationalizing Jam:
It’s absolutely clear that Jam, which is one of the largest sport events of the world Zoroastrian community, belongs to all the Zoroastrians and Parsis residing all over the world and in fact it’s one of our visions to host world Zoroastrians.
Zoroastrians and Parsis from all over the world can join us by participating in these tournaments or be with us as viewers.
We also provide special services for Zoroastrian and Parsis residing abroad including accommodation and meals during this period. Interested competitors can register for domestic journeys which would be arranged for them.

  1. Friends. This is a brilliant idea. But unfortunately the dates are too close the world youth meet in vancouver. The vancouver meet ends July 5, so that would not leave much time for people to get to Iran. And alot of youth wouldn’t be able to afford 2 such trips in such a short notice.

    But its a great initiative and I will you all the best.

    Are there plans for a congress or meet anytime later in the year or next ?
