Sooni Taraporevala’s film ‘Little Zizou’ will be all about Parsis.
Now Sooni is known for her screenplays for films like ‘Salaam Bombay’ and ‘The Namesake’. She says that she’s making this film to give an insider’s view to the Parsi community and she hopes that it may break the old Parsi stereotype.
She says, “The film depicts the Parsi community the way they are in terms of their culture and taste. And I hope I can break the stereotype we see on screen.”
Well, interestingly the movie has almost every Parsi actor in the industry one can remember including half Parsi Bollywood hunk John Abraham.
At the special event hosted by the renowned screenplay writer Sooni to promote the film, he said, “I am very very proud that Sooni has made this film.”
The movie has Boman Irani, Shernaz Patel and Imaad Shah playing leads and the film revolves around the clash between two Parsi families – one Parsi extremist and the other liberal in nature. The story is shown from a child’s perspective played by Sooni’s son Jahan.
Imaad says that Sooni’s script inspired him to do the film.
Well, the cast and the crew look quite confident. Now the film just needs to do well and serve its purpose for the Parsis. -Sampurn Media
