He brought out some snaps from the envelope and showed me: “Look at them. They are my children, see how tall they have grown. I took my children, with great pain, from Iran to Canada. I inspect them daily. I love them but if they do not bring fruit for me I will cut their branches. But, if they give me good Iranian fruit I will let them continue living.”
